Job Title: Consultant – Gastroenterology

Hospital: International Hospital

Location: Salmiya, Kuwait

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders.

• Evaluate and treat patients with digestive system diseases, including disorders of the esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder.

• Perform and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.

• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans based on evidence- based practices.

• Provide consultation services for inpatient and outpatient cases.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Supervise and support junior medical staff as required.

• Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and continuing medical education activities.

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and patient safety standards.

Requirements:

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.

• Board Certification, DM, CCT, Arab Board, European Board, American Board, or an equivalent recognized qualification in Gastroenterology.

• Valid MOH License in Kuwait (mandatory).

• Currently residing in Kuwait (applications from within Kuwait only).

• Valid professional and educational certificates.

• Minimum 8–10 years of post- specialization experience in Gastroenterology, preferably in a hospital setting.

• Proven expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.

• Strong clinical, leadership, and decision- making skills.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
