Contractual Engineer Position Available

Job Responsibilities:1、Primarily undertake contractual management of all professional subcontracts for the Kuwait school construction project, covering subcontract works such as civil engineering, MEP and decoration; lead the whole- process management of subcontracts including inquiry, negotiation, drafting, review, signing and filing to ensure contract terms are rigorous, compliant and risk- free.
2. Be familiar with local construction specifications and labor and engineering compliance policies in Kuwait; review subcontractor qualifications, quotation lists and construction scopes based on project conditions, clearly define rights and obligations, construction boundaries, payment milestones, breach of contract liabilities and warranty clauses, so as to avoid local compliance risks.
3. Manage the whole performance process of subcontracts, follow up contract implementation progress, sort out construction scope deviations, handle on- site contract changes, site visas, quantity verification and price adjustment, to ensure project contract cost is controllable.
4. Communicate and coordinate with local subcontractors, suppliers and various project departments, resolve contract disputes and settlement differences during contract performance to guarantee smooth construction progress.
5. Establish standardized ledgers for subcontracts and contract documents, organize, file and update data such as contracts, visas, changes and settlement, to ensure complete and traceable documents that meet the audit requirements of overseas projects.
6. Be responsible for interim settlement with subcontractors.
7. Cooperate with project cost control, count subcontract cost data, analyze contract risks, predict potential hidden dangers in contract performance, provide contract analysis reports, and assist the project manager in controlling the overall project profit and loss.
8. Initiate contractual letters to clients and subcontractors.
9. Comply with Kuwaiti labor laws and local construction regulations, and assist in supporting contractual work such as local project filing and compliance inspection.
Job Requirements:1. Bachelor degree or above in Engineering Cost, Project Management, Civil Engineering or related majors. At least 4 years of contractual working experience in overseas building construction projects. Candidates with Kuwait or Middle East construction project subcontract management experience are highly preferred.
2. Proficient in drafting, negotiating, signing and performance management of construction subcontracts, familiar with the construction scope and pricing rules of civil, MEP, decoration and other professional subcontracts, and skilled in handling engineering changes, visas and subcontract settlement.
3. Good English and Arabic listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, capable of independent English and Arabic contract review, contractual docking and communication with foreign subcontractors; proficient in office and engineering pricing software.
4. Familiar with Kuwait local construction market rules, engineering compliance requirements and local subcontract cooperation modes, aware of contractual risk points of Middle East overseas projects, with independent risk control capability.
5. Meticulous, responsible, with excellent contractual negotiation, communication and problem- solving abilities; able to work long- term overseas on- site and follow project management arrangements.
6. No bad employment records in overseas projects, familiar with overseas engineering document filing and audit procedures.
