-A forklift banksman, also known as a vehicle marshal or signaller, is a safety- critical professional responsible for guiding forklift and machinery movements in complex or low- visibility environments. Their primary goal is to prevent collisions and ensure the safety of pedestrians and other workers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Directing Movements: Use standardized hand signals or radio communication to guide forklift operators through tight spaces, around blind spots, and during reversing maneuvers.

Traffic Management: Layout safe onsite traffic systems, such as one- way routes, and manage traffic flow to prevent congestion and queuing.

Safety Enforcement: Ensure pedestrians and unauthorized personnel remain outside of designated operational zones.

Risk Assessment: Identify potential hazards (e.g., overhead obstructions, uneven ground) and decide if it is safe for an operation to proceed.

Loading/Unloading Supervision: Oversee the safe placement and securing of loads during pickup and drop- off
