Freight Specialist

We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Freight Specialist to manage end- to- end freight solutions for our B2B customers. The role is responsible for understanding customer shipping requirements, sourcing and evaluating the most suitable transportation options, negotiating competitive rates with carriers and logistics partners, and overseeing shipments throughout their entire lifecycle from origin to destination.

Key Responsibilities

· Engage with B2B customers to understand shipment requirements, service expectations, timelines, budgets, and operational constraints.

·Analyze shipment specifications and identify the most suitable freight solutions

·Source and evaluate freight options from airlines, shipping lines, transport providers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners.

·Compare and negotiate freight rates, to secure the most competitive solutions for clients.

·Prepare freight quotations

·Monitor and track shipments from origin to destination

· Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, carrier guidelines, and company procedures.

· Prepare shipment reports, freight performance metrics, and management updates as required.

· Support business development initiatives.

Requirements

·Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

·Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain, or transportation operations.

·Strong knowledge of international freight operations including Air Freight, Sea Freight (FCL/LCL), and Road Transport.

·Experience handling import, export, and cross- border shipments.

·Excellent negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.
