Operational Monitoring and Control

System Operation: Operating equipment such as Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) units, anaerobic filters, and biological treatment systems to remove organic loads.

Process Monitoring: Reading meters, gauges, and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems to ensure the plant is functioning within set parameters.

Flow Management: Controlling the flow of wastewater through various treatment stages to prevent system overloads.

Sampling and Testing

Water Quality Testing: Collecting and analyzing samples for physical, chemical, and biological characteristics, such as pH, BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand), and suspended solids.

Chemical Adjustment: Calculating and adding chemicals, such as coagulants or disinfectants (e.g., chlorine), to purify the water before discharge or reuse.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Equipment Upkeep: Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on pumps, valves, filters, and motors.

Troubleshooting: Diagnosing mechanical malfunctions and process failures to prevent untreated waste from entering the environment.

System Cleaning: Regularly cleaning and sanitizing screening equipment and tanks to remove build- ups of fat, grease, and animal waste.

Compliance and Documentation

Regulatory Reporting: Maintaining detailed operational logs and preparing discharge monitoring reports for environmental agencies (e.g., EPA).

Safety Adherence: Ensuring all operations comply with occupational health and safety (OSHA) and environmental protection regulations.

Waste Disposal: Managing the proper disposal of hazardous materials and sludge generated during the treatment process
