Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant specializing in business and trade compliance to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will support our company in navigating complex regulations and ensuring compliance with both local and international trade laws. This role requires an individual with a keen understanding of legal principles in the business context, as well as the ability to handle various administrative and legal tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities:
•Researching and drafting legal documents, including contracts, compliance reports, and regulatory submissions related to trade and business law.
•Monitor legislation and regulatory developments impacting business operations, ensuring timely compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
•Organize and maintain legal files, documents, and databases, ensuring easy accessibility and compliance with internal and external auditing standards.
•Preparation of compliance assessments and audits to identify potential risks and recommend corrective actions.
•Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary information or documentation for ongoing compliance efforts and legal matters.
•Assist in the training of staff on compliance policies, procedures, and best practices related to trade and business operations.
•Liaise with regulatory agencies and external legal counsel as required to facilitate compliance processes.
Desired Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
•Kuwait Citizen
•Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field.
•Minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal assistant, with a focus on business and trade compliance.
•Strong understanding of local laws, international trade laws, import/export regulations, and compliance frameworks.
•Proficient in legal research and document preparation, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
•High level of proficiency in legal research tools and software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
•Ability to work collaboratively in a fast- paced environment and interact effectively with cross- functional teams.
