Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and bake pastries, cakes, breads, desserts, and specialty items

Develop new dessert recipes and seasonal menus

Decorate pastries and desserts to meet presentation standards

Ensure freshness, quality, and consistency of all pastry items

Manage inventory, order supplies, and minimize food waste

Supervise and train pastry staff or assistant

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen

Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations

Coordinate with the head chef and kitchen team for menu planning

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker

Strong knowledge of baking techniques and dessert preparation

Creativity and attention to detail

Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays

Time management and multitasking skills:

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Culinary degree or certification (preferred but not always required)

Work Environment:

Fast- paced kitchen setting

Standing for long periods

Exposure to heat, ovens, and kitchen equipment
