Key responsibilities

Tender analysis: Review and analyze tender documents, including technical specifications, drawings, bill of quantities (BOQ), and contractual terms, to fully understand the project scope and client requirements.

Cost estimation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, including direct costs (materials, labor, equipment) and indirect costs (project management, overheads, risk, and contingencies). Utilize cost data from past projects and market research to develop competitive and profitable pricing strategies.

Bid preparation: Create and submit comprehensive bid proposals, ensuring full compliance with all tender/BOQ conditions.

Cross- functional coordination: Liaise with internal teams to gather necessary information and support.

Supplier and subcontractor management: Initiate requests for quotes from suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate their proposals.

Risk management: Identify potential risks during the estimation phase and develop mitigation strategies.

Process improvement: Continuously improve the estimation and tendering processes for accuracy and efficiency.

Market monitoring and process improvement : Proactively check for new public tenders released by Kuwait's Central Tenders Committee (CTC), as well as opportunities from key companies like Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) and other relevant organizations.

Identify potential project risks, including technical, financial, and operational issues, and develop mitigation strategies during the estimation and tendering phases.

Continuously improve the estimation and tendering processes and tools to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and the overall success rate of bids.

Qualifications and skills

Education: bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical, or environmental).

Experience: 7+ years of experience in the water and wastewater sector, with a significant portion dedicated to tendering and estimation.

Extensive knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and technologies.

Proficiency in estimation and costing software.

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
