Project Manager Position in Kuwait

Key responsibilities
Select and specify appropriate equipment for water treatment facilities, focusing on safety, reliability, and efficiency.
Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of all equipments, ensuring it meets design and performance requirements.
Prepare, monitor, and update project schedules, risk registers, and progress reports.
Ensure all project activities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental (HSE) rules and regulations.
Conduct engineering reviews and analysis of preliminary and final designs, plans, and specifications.
Work closely with environmental departments to analyze environmental performance data related to water, energy, and waste.
Contribute to the preparation of environmental compliance reports and other technical documents.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers and contractors, to ensure seamless project delivery.
Develop cost estimates and time schedules for mechanical aspects of the project.
Review technical submittals and conduct site inspections to ensure quality control.
Maintain and strengthen relationships with KOC management and K- companies to support current projects and future tender opportunities.
Required skills and qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering is typically required.
A minimum of 8–10 years of relevant experience, with a focus on infrastructure projects, particularly in water and wastewater treatment plants.
Familiarity with Kuwait- specific regulatory bodies, such as the Kuwait Environment Public Authority (KEPA), and an understanding of KOC's internal standards are beneficial.
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, standards, and reporting procedures, with experience supporting or managing environmental initiatives.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and other relevant engineering software.
Experience with PLC or other control systems used to monitor equipment is beneficial.
Strong project management, analytical, and problem- solving skills.
Effective communication skills for coordinating with teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
Knowledge of standard safety protocols.
Valid residency and membership in the Kuwait Society of Engineers.
