Required Senior Accountant

Location: Salmyia, Kuwait

Job Summary: The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and effective management of financial processes. This role involves preparing financial statements, managing budgets, and collaborating with crossfunctional teams to drive financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.

- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.

- Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights on variances.

- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

- Coordinate audits with external auditors and prepare necessary documentation.

- Mentor and train junior accounting staff.

- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets.

- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- 3- 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on financial reporting, preferably in wholesale (import) and construction.

- Proficiency in accounting software (Odoo, Zero) and Microsoft Excel.

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
