Sales Specialist- Fields of Science:

Job brief:

We are looking for a results-driven sales representative to actively seek out and engage customer prospects.

You will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.

Responsibilities:

Present, promote and sell services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.

Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs.

Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.

Reach out to customer leads through cold calling.

Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.

Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.

Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.

Analyze the territory/market s potential, track sales and status reports.

Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.

Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.

Continuously improve through feedback.

*Background: Science majors are most welcome and preferable.

*Customer Service Skills: The customer is always right. You will need to be able speak in a friendly way to customers and potential customers, listening to their needs and helping communicate options for them.

*Communication Skills: You will need to speak to customers about a product's different features, and answer any questions they might have.

*Flexibility: You might have to work long hours, nights or weekends.

*Persistence: Not every customer is going to be a sale. Being able to bounce back if you lose a sale will be key for this job.

Laboratory Quality Assurance Manager

Responsibilities:

Organizes records and files, summarizes data, and prepares and interprets reports used by management. Ensures compliance to procedures and work instructions.

To perform analysis and verify data of samples from Raw Material, Bulk, Stability and/or In-Process areas by following analytical methods and SOP s.

Conduct training of team members to ensure process checks are accurate and timely as stated in QMS.

Meets SOP s training requirements.

Support training agenda for other personnel.

Participates in a team if required by area supervisor.

Helps with the laboratory supplies inventory.

Support any equipment qualification (if required).

Support method validation/transfer initiative.

Support with the waste management in the QCL.

Support Safety Culture.

Lead designated QA staff on accuracy and effectiveness of work, approve timecards and schedules.

Assist in Document Control System.

Supports continuous improvement of Quality Metrics/KPIs.

Essentials and Technical Skills:

Masters degree with +5 years experience in Technical Field (Science)-Laboratory QA.

Knowledge in ICP MS, ICPMSMS, HPLC, UPLC, GC, AA, UV-Vis, FTIR, Analytical Balance and Microbalance, general laboratory instrumentation, wet chemistry.

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or other related field preferred or equivalent experience.

Min 5 years previous manufacturing QA/QC and/or laboratory experience in food industry, wastewater, soil, etc.

Knowledge of Continuous Improvement.

Good verbal and written communications skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Must be able to handle multiple assignments.

Must be precise and accurate, well organized worker.

Must be able to perform in a demanding, fast-paced environment.

Good mathematical (basic statistical skills highly desirable), problem solving and analytical skills.

Proficiency with computer systems, personal computers, spreadsheet software (Microsoft Office, etc.) and mainframe system with custom applications preferred.

Bi-lingual is a plus.

Laboratory Microbiologist:

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in microbiology, biology, molecular biology, molecular cell biology, medical technology, medical laboratory science, or a closely related science major.

Positions in the Microbiologist series supervise and/or perform professional scientific work in the detection, isolation, identification, cultivation, use and control of microorganisms.

Positions at this level perform a variety of assignments in the field of microbiology; and perform other related duties as assigned. Initially, assignments are geared to provide experience and training in the application of basic professional knowledge and abilities, and in the use of scientific methods, procedures and techniques.

Coursework must include a lecture and laboratory course in each of the following:

At least two (2) subject areas related to the study of microorganisms such as those listed below:

A. Bacteriology, immunology, serology, mycology, parasitology, molecular biology, molecular cell biology or virology.

B. Food, water, dairy, soil, industrial, public health, agriculture, or applied bacteriology; or applied microbiology.

C. Genetics, physiology, metabolism, animal or plant physiology or pathology, cell biology, biochemistry, and biophysical chemistry.

Essentials and Technical Skills:

Basic Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in microbiology, biology, molecular biology, molecular cell biology, medical technology, medical laboratory science, or a closely related science major.

Proficiency with computer systems, personal computers, spreadsheet software (Microsoft Office, etc.) and mainframe system with custom applications preferred.

Bi-lingual is a plus.

Laboratory Chemist:

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Chemistry, testing laboratory science, or a closely related science major. Analytical techniques are used to verify that test analysis meet quality specifications. In addition, the chemist provides technical support and problem solving to the operating projects.

Crucial duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Operate laboratory equipment by following operating instructions, troubleshooting instrumentation and method issues, and performing routine preventative maintenance.

Independently initiate, design and implement laboratory scale experiments using analytical instrument platforms such as HPLC/UPLC, HPLC-MS, ICP-MS, IC, GC, GC-MS, UV, Karl Fischer.

Train team members to support all facets of analytical services job functions according to job level.

Lead work activities of analytical research associates.

Contribute experienced knowledge and ideas for approaches including assessment of method capability and acceptance criteria setting and support resolutions to quality observations (deviations, investigations).

Accurately record and summarize experiments in notebooks and reports and present research summaries to internal staff and external customers.

Provide analytical data to support clients in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Ensure that all reported data are produced following established SOPs and QA/QC criteria.

Ensure that Sample and Analytical Plans are up-to-date and issued in a timely manner.

Develop new analytical methods as needed. Perform analytical method equivalency studies to bridge site method to official registration/specification method. Review and revise analytical methods as needed.

Ensure conformance to accepted quality standards in the laboratories. Review daily laboratory records for trends or inconsistencies. Take necessary corrective and preventive actions.

Communicate between other departments and laboratory personnel to assure that the laboratory is prepared to support other departments in a timely and efficient manner.

Coach and train laboratory technicians on new procedures and periodical review of existing procedures.
