Looking for Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Accounting:

Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures.

Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual

production costs:

Assist in the establishment of cost accounting policies and procedures.

Monitor and analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions.

Conduct cost audits and prepare cost allocation plans.

Financial Reporting:

Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Provide detailed analysis and reporting on financial performance, including variance analysis.

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage budgets.

Prepare forecasts and assist in the development of financial strategies.

Monitor budget performance and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.

General Accounting:

Oversee day- to- day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.

Ensure timely and accurate month- end and year- end close processes.

Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

Compliance and Audits:

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits.

Maintain and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5- 7 years of accounting experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations

• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
