Role and Responsibilities

1.To assist in the general running of the kitchen in order that all food is prepared in line with company specifications and the back of house is motivated and working as an effective team.

2.To maintain company standards of quality, service, presentation and cleanliness

3.To ensure that back of house team comply with all legislation regarding food hygiene and health and safety standards

4.To maintain profitability through correct portioning and specification whilst maintaining company operating standards

5.To ensure that all company policies are adhered to

6.To ensure that all staff receive the required training in compliance with all statutory and company procedures

7.To take an active role in promoting, coaching and developing junior staff and restaurant communication

8.To work towards high scores in all inspections and audits

9.To run shifts efficiently, effectively ensuring all duties and daily administration are completed within the time frames

10.To consistently motivate staff to achieve the highest levels of service and adopt a balanced approach to dealing with staff problems and issues

11.To work together with your fellow managers, to ensure that your restaurant achieves its full potential as an individual business.

12.Level headed/ sensible and consistent in nature, trustworthy and reliable

13.Ability to work flexibly under pressure

14.A passion for great food and people

Preferred Skills

1.Bachelor Degree OR a graduate in any field is preferred

2.Experience working in a chain of hotels / restaurants
