We are looking for
1. QC Manager and 2. Quality Inspector- Pressure Vessel and Piping (only Local Candidates in Kuwait).

1.QC Manager- Pressure Vessel and Piping

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality System and Code compliance

Oversee and maintain the ASME U and R Stamp Quality Control Manual in coordination with the Authorized Inspection Agency (AIA).

Ensure all quality procedures comply with ASME BPVC, NBIC, API, and ISO 9001:2015 standards.

Verify material traceability, MTR review, and compliance with design specifications.

Review and approve WPS/PQR/WQT documents and ensure welding activities are qualified and monitored.

Ensure proper documentation for pressure vessel and piping fabrication, including Data Reports (U-1, R-1, R-2).

2. Inspection and Supervision

Supervise QC Inspectors, NDT Technicians, and Sub-contract Inspectors.

Plan and approve inspection and test plans (ITPs) and hold points in coordination with AI and client.

Conduct and witness hydrostatic, pneumatic, and leak tests as per code.

Oversee calibration and maintenance of all inspection, measuring, and test equipment.

3. ASME and NBIC Audit Coordination

Lead the company s ASME Joint Review and National Board audits, coordinating all documentation, records, and process demonstrations.

Interface with Authorized Inspector (AI) during fabrication and final inspections.

Ensure prompt resolution of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and maintain a corrective action system.

4. Documentation and Record Control

Manage all quality documentation, welding log books, calibration records, and inspection dossiers.

Review and approve Manufacturer s Data Reports and ensure they are properly stamped, signed, and archived.

Prepare audit evidence packages and reports for management review.

5. Training and Leadership

Train and mentor QC Inspectors and fabrication teams on ASME code compliance, inspection techniques, and documentation practices.

Conduct periodic internal quality audits and management review meetings.

Support the Production, Design, and Procurement teams in implementing QA/QC best practices.

Qualifications and experience:

Bachelor s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum 10 15 years of QA/QC experience in fabrication of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and process piping.

Minimum 5 years of experience in an ASME-certified shop with U and R Stamp authorization.

In-depth knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div.1, Section IX, Section V, and B31.1 / B31.3.

Familiarity with NBIC Part 1 4 requirements for repairs and alterations.

Hands-on experience in AIA coordination and joint review audit preparation.

Certification preferred: cswip 3.1 / 3.2, aws-cwi, asnt level ii / iii, lead auditor (iso 9001:2015).

Skills and Competencies:

Strong leadership and decision-making ability under audit or inspection pressure.

Excellent technical report writing and communication skills.

Strong analytical and documentation control capability.

Proficient in interpreting fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and code clauses.

Competent in Microsoft Office and quality management systems (QMS).

2. Quality Inspector- Pressure Vessel and Piping.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inspection and Quality Control

Perform visual and dimensional inspection of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and piping during fabrication and assembly stages.

Verify welding parameters, consumables, and procedures as per approved WPS/PQR.

Conduct fit-up, Weld, NDE, hydrostatic, and pneumatic test inspections in accordance with ASME Section VIII, ASME B31.1/B31.3, and Section V requirements.

Monitor and record material identification, traceability, and MTR (Material Test Report) verification. Inspect surface preparation and painting/coating quality as per project specifications.

2. Documentation and Code compliance

Prepare and maintain all QC records such as inspection reports, calibration logs, material traceability records, Weld maps, and test reports.

Assist in maintaining ASME and NBIC compliance documentation under the U Stamp, R Stamp, and S Stamp scope.

Ensure fabrication activities comply with the Quality Control Manual (QCM) and applicable ASME/NBIC standards.

Support preparation and review of Data Reports (Form U-1, R-1, etc.) and audit documentation packages.

3. Coordination and Audit Participation

Liaise with Authorized Inspector (AI) during inspections, hold points, and final acceptance.

Coordinate with design, production, and procurement teams for compliance on materials, drawings, and process requirements.

Actively participate and assist during ASME joint review audits, internal audits, and surveillance visits.

Support NCR (Non-Conformance Report) control and corrective action follow-up.

4. Calibration and NDE Coordination

Verify calibration validity of inspection, measuring, and test equipment.

Coordinate NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT) with Level II/III personnel and verify reports.

Qualifications and experience:

Diploma / Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum 5 8 years of experience in fabrication inspection of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, or piping.

In-depth knowledge of ASME Section VIII, Section IX, Section V, and B31.1 / B31.3.

Certified in cswip 3.1 / aws-cwi or bgas / Nace preferred.

Familiar with WPS/PQR/WQT process and Authorized Inspection (AIA) coordination.

experience in preparing documentation for ASME U and R Stamp certification audits.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong understanding of quality systems and code compliance.

Ability to interpret fabrication drawings and ASME code requirements.

Excellent report writing and documentation control skills.

Strong communication and coordination skills with auditors and inspectors.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and QA documentation systems.

Preferred Certifications:

ASME / NBIC code familiarity certificates.

CSWIP 3.1 or AWS CWI (mandatory for senior level).

NDT Level II (RT, UT, MT, PT) is an added advantage.
