Job Title: Senior Design Engineer I Job Type: Full- Time

About the Role:

Responsible for leading the process of design and analysis of steel structures, ensuring that all designs meet project requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations. His role includes overseeing the work of junior engineers, coordinating with other disciplines, and providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure designs are optimized for safety, cost- effectiveness, and constructability.

• Ensure that all designs adhere to relevant building codes, industry standards, and project- specific requirements.

• Provide technical guidance to joiner engineers.

• Participate in project meetings, providing technical support and solving any structural- related issues.

• Follow up with the Sales Department on submitted designs and obtaining approvals to proceed with shop drawings

• Provide technical support during the fabrication and erection phases, ensuring that structural designs are implemented correctly.

• Drive continuous improvement for the structural design team, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and speed.

• Provide training to junior engineers, helping them develop their skills.

• Identify potential risks or complexities during the fabrication, shipping, or installation processes, and develop effective mitigation strategies to address them.

• Prepare reports on the performance and progress of the design team, and present these to the Design Manager.

• Refine estimation and risk assessment processes for future project following project completion

General Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related field); master’s degree is a plus.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in design engineering, including project management and cross- functional collaboration.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla, SolidWorks) and knowledge of materials, and industry standards.
